How Claranor’s Pulsed Light Technology Works

Claranor’s Pulsed Light technology offers an efficient, chemical-free method for packaging sterilization across various industries. The process begins with the storage of electrical energy in a capacitor, which is then discharged as a high-voltage pulse into a xenon-filled lamp. This discharge creates an electric arc, ionizing the xenon gas and producing an intense flash of white light rich in UV spectrum. This powerful light pulse, lasting approximately 300 microseconds, effectively decontaminates surfaces by denaturing the DNA and proteins of microorganisms, including bacteria, molds, and spores, leading to their immediate and irreversible destruction. Notably, this method achieves high sterilization efficiency without the use of water or chemicals, making it a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional sterilization techniques. Claranor’s compact equipment is designed for seamless integration into both new and existing production lines, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
