Serac is a globally recognised French manufacturer of rotary filling and aseptic packaging systems, widely used in the dairy, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
As a 100% Australian-owned business, Icon Equipment serves some of Australia’s largest food and beverage manufacturers, including Visy, Asahi, Fonterra, Nestlé, Danone, Saputo and Bega.
1975
In 1975, Fogg began operations in Australia, by importing reconditioned rotary glass fillers from Fogg USA to supply the Australian juice and dairy industries. By the early 1980’s Fogg Australia were becoming a prominent figure in the filling machine market when they decided to pivot their business to reconditioning used machines locally. By the late 80’s, demand was so high, they began designing and manufacturing new machines in Australia, for the local market.
Success
On the back of this success, by the mid 90’s, Fogg Australia were not only supplying reconditioned and new equipment all around Australia, but demand also reached other international markets, such as NZ and SE Asia.
David Perryman
By this time David Perryman had become a prominent figure within the filling machine market, both in Australia and overseas and had worked in Fogg’s operations in Australia for a number of years.
March 2004
In March 2004, David and business partner Peter Dwyer (who also worked for Fogg for many years) purchased Fogg Australia, with a desire to rapidly grow the business both locally and overseas. They set about opening sales and support offices in Melbourne, Bangkok, Shanghai and Riyadh. ICON Equipment International was born.
Filling Machinery
Over the next eight years, ICON supplied filling machinery all over Australia and by 2012, became the Australian / NZ agents for SERAC, one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of filling equipment in the dairy industry. In the late 2000’s ICON made the decision to focus its attention on selling the ever-expanding range of SERAC equipment to the Australian market only, together with some additional agencies they acquired.
Mid 2000s
By the mid 2000’s Icon was a prominent name in Australia for the design, supply and installation of very large SERAC equipment and as a result were heavily involved in many large scale project for some of the industry’s biggest names, including multiple projects for Murray Goulburn, Lion and Tetra.
2026
We are proud to say, that in 2026, we are still leading the way in the design, supply and installation of many large-scale projects in Australia, recently being recognised as SERAC’s top-performing partner in the Asia-Pacific region over the past 12 months. This achievement reflects the highest sales volume across spare parts, service, and technical solutions, driven by our fast response times, consistent support, and exceptional service standards. Our professionalism and commitment to customer care excellence continues to play a vital role in supporting market growth and long-term reliability.

dairy industry for over 40 years, including high-speed fresh milk filling lines,
yoghurt filling systems and UHT packaging solutions. Clients in the dairy sector

in Australia and New Zealand, and provides ongoing technical support, spare parts

Secondhand & Reconditioned Packaging Machinery
Icon Equipment maintains a current inventory of secondhand and reconditioned
filling, capping and packaging machines available for immediate delivery across
Australia. All secondhand equipment is inspected and assessed by Icon Equipment’s
in-house engineering team in Melbourne before sale.
Icon Equipment also provides reconditioning, retrofitting and upgrade services
for existing packaging machinery — extending equipment lifespan and adapting
older machines to current production requirements.
Packaging Equipment Hire in Australia
Icon Equipment offers flexible packaging equipment hire and rental solutions
across Australia — one of the few Australian packaging machinery suppliers to
offer this service. Options include short-term hire, rent-to-buy arrangements
and low-doc loan financing, designed for manufacturers who are scaling production,
running seasonal lines, or trialling new packaging formats before committing to
a full capital purchase.
Equipment available for hire includes liquid filling machines, capping machines
