We here at Icon Equipment are proud to announce that we are again sponsoring The Beanie Charity Golf Tournament.
The Beanie is a charity golf tournament held at King Island and is an authorised fundraising event of the Oliva Newton-John Research Institute. The Beanie has been run now for many years. Each year this happy group of golfers meet for some friendly competition and great times while helping to raise significant contributions towards breast cancer research.
All funds raised go to Professor Robin Anderson and her team to help continue their research in the fight against cancer. Robin Anderson is the Head of the ‘Translational Breast Cancer Programme’ and ‘Metastasis Research Laboratory’ at the Olivia Newton John Research Institute. Her research team is working on the most insidious forms of breast cancer.
Icons very own Operations Manager and Director, Peter Dwyer is a long time participant and sponsor of the event. Peter and his group of dedicated charity golfers will be Meeting on March 19th for this 3 day tournament trip and events.
